The Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas has confirmed that the supply of domestic LPG cylinders in India is stable, with no disruptions despite the ongoing crisis in West Asia. The price for a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder remains at ₹965, unchanged from last month. However, commercial LPG prices have recently increased, with a ₹144 hike in March followed by an additional ₹200 increase on April 1. Currently, oil marketing companies are distributing approximately 80,000 metric tonnes of LPG daily, ensuring the delivery of nearly 50 lakh cylinders to domestic consumers. Arvinder Singh Sahney, Chairman of the Indian Oil Corporation Limited, emphasized that domestic consumers are prioritized and that there are sufficient inventories to meet demand. He reassured that there are no significant issues affecting LPG supply, allowing for consistent service to households across the country.
