HDFC Life Insurance Company reported a consolidated net profit of ₹497.49 crore for the fourth quarter of FY26, reflecting a 4.65% increase compared to ₹475.36 crore in the same quarter last year. The company's net premium income rose 9.04% year-on-year to ₹25,998.42 crore. However, HDFC Life faced substantial investment losses of ₹6,487.58 crore, contrasting sharply with a profit of ₹18.99 crore in Q4 FY25. Profit before tax (PBT) showed marginal growth of 0.77%, reaching ₹489.7 crore. Over the entire fiscal year, the insurer's profit after tax increased by 6% to ₹1,910 crore from ₹1,802 crore. Total annualized premium equivalent (APE) rose 8% to ₹16,641 crore, with individual APE increasing 7% to ₹14,635 crore. New business premiums grew 8% to ₹36,096 crore, while renewal premiums surged 15% to ₹43,291 crore, leading to a 12% rise in total premium collections to ₹79,387 crore. HDFC Life's assets under management expanded 12% to ₹3,75,198 crore. The company plans to pay a final dividend of ₹2.10 per equity share, with the record date set for June 19, 2026. Shares of HDFC Life fell 1.41% to close at ₹631.55 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
