Doriane Pin has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first woman to drive a Mercedes Formula 1 car, specifically the W12, at Silverstone Circuit. This significant event occurred as part of the team's Testing of Previous Cars (TPC) programme. Pin, who is also the 2025 F1 Academy champion, expressed her excitement, stating, "Today is a very special day... It's going to be a big day and something that I have dreamed of for so long." With this achievement, she becomes only the second female driver to test an F1 car in six years, following Jessica Hawkins' private test in 2023. Pin's career has been on an upward trajectory, having recently secured a podium finish in LMP2 at the European Le Mans Series.
