Wright State University, located in Dayton, Ohio, has initiated a national search for its next Director of Athletics after Joylynn Brown decided to step down from her position. Brown's departure comes as she explores new professional opportunities. The university has formed an eight-member search committee, co-chaired by Andy Platt, a former student athlete and current Board of Trustees member, and Greg Sample, the executive vice president and chief operating officer. University President Sue Edwards emphasized the commitment to finding a leader who will advocate for the success of student-athletes and enhance the university's athletics programs on a national level. The committee is set to begin meetings next week, with the aim of presenting finalists to Edwards before the fall season. In the interim, Robert Ray has been appointed to oversee the athletics department.
