The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has announced that Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be integrated as a core subject in the state's school curriculum. This decision was revealed during a national-level AI conference, which brought together policymakers, industry leaders, and educators to discuss educational reforms. Punjab's Education Minister, Harjot Singh Bains, emphasized that the integration of AI is crucial for modernizing education and preparing students for a technology-driven world. PSEB Chairman Amarpal Singh stated that AI will build upon the existing computer science curriculum, with learning outcomes formally reflected on students' Board certificates. The conference featured discussions on the intersection of policy, technology, and workforce readiness, alongside an exhibition showcasing AI-driven educational projects. This initiative aims to foster innovation and ensure that students become skilled users and responsible digital citizens.
