Zavier Zens, a standout basketball player from Wisconsin, has committed to the Illinois Fighting Illini for the 2026 season. The three-star prospect, who was named Wisconsin's Gatorade Player of the Year, averaged 23.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game during his senior year at Wisconsin Lutheran, where he led his team to three consecutive state championships. Ranked 237th in the 2026 class by 247Sports Composite, Zens chose Illinois over offers from Utah State and Wisconsin after decommitting from Northern Iowa. His commitment adds to an already impressive recruiting class that includes Quentin Coleman, Lucas Morillo, Ethan Brown, Landon Davis, and transfer Stefan Vaaks. Head Coach Brad Underwood and his staff successfully brought Zens in for an official visit, solidifying their recruitment efforts.
