On Saturday, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will achieve a significant milestone by becoming the first team in Indian Premier League (IPL) history to play 100 matches at their home ground, M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. This landmark match against Delhi Capitals coincides with the 19th anniversary of the IPL, which began on April 18, 2008, at the same venue. RCB was part of the inaugural match where Brendon McCullum scored a remarkable 158 not out, leading Kolkata Knight Riders to victory. Over the years, RCB has recorded a total of 48 wins and 46 losses at Chinnaswamy, with one match ending in a tie. Their highest score at this venue is 263 runs, achieved in 2013, which also features the record for the highest individual score in T20 history, 175 runs by Chris Gayle. Currently, RCB sits second on the points table with eight points from five matches, having lost only once this season. In a nod to sustainability, RCB will wear their alternate green jerseys during this milestone match.
