In a tragic incident in Covo, Bergamo province, Italy, two Indian men, Raginder Singh and Gurmit Singh, both 48 years old, were shot dead while leaving the Gurdwara Mata Sahib Kaur Ji after a gathering for the Vaisakhi festival. The shooting occurred shortly before midnight on Friday. Local media reported that the assailant approached the victims and opened fire before fleeing the scene in a car. Authorities found approximately ten shell casings, suggesting a possible planned execution rather than a spontaneous brawl. A witness claimed the shooter was also of Indian descent and had been known to frequent the gurdwara. This incident has raised concerns within the community, especially as an official celebration for Vaisakhi was scheduled nearby for the following day.
