To unlock Ironware, players must first upgrade their Workbench to Level 3, which requires setting up tools like the Sawhorse and Toolbox. However, simply upgrading the Workbench isn't enough; players must also discover Iron Ore located in the Foothills Region. This involves exploring areas marked with a pickaxe icon on the map and using a Copper Pickaxe to mine the ore, as the Stone Pickaxe is insufficient. Once Iron Ore is gathered, players need to create Foothills Iron Ingots by producing charcoal in a Charcoal Kiln and then smelting the Iron Ore with charcoal in a Smelting Furnace. Each combination of 3 Iron Ores and 1 Charcoal yields 1 Foothills Iron Ingot. Players should gather multiple ingots to craft as much Ironware as needed, ultimately unlocking better gear and progression options in the game.
