The group has urged authorities to deny permission for his shows, referencing past incidents, including a 2021 arrest related to allegations of hurting religious sentiments. Faruqui's shows in multiple cities have faced similar scrutiny, leading to cancellations and permission denials due to fears of protests and disruptions to communal harmony.
