HCL Group, a prominent Indian IT company founded in 1976 by Shiv Nadar and seven other engineers, celebrated its 50th anniversary on Saturday with a special concert featuring renowned singer Arijit Singh. The invite-only event was exclusively for HCLTech employees, who enjoyed a vibrant performance of popular Bollywood songs. Videos from the celebration went viral, showcasing the enthusiastic atmosphere. In addition to the concert, HCL coordinated with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation to offer free metro rides for employees, extending services until 12:30 am. Employees could enter the metro system without tickets by presenting their company ID cards. This initiative was well-received, with one employee expressing surprise at the company's generosity. Shiv Nadar, who attended the event in a wheelchair, was also celebrated for his contributions to the company over the past five decades.
