Marks and Spencer (M&S) has announced the opening of a new food store at Fairacres Retail Park in Abington, Oxfordshire, set for April 22. This 18,000 sq ft fresh-market-style food hall will provide a variety of products, including baked goods, rotisserie chicken, and fresh produce sourced from M&S’s Select Farm partners, with over 60 located in Oxfordshire. The new store will also feature a dedicated Click & Collect point to enhance online shopping convenience. Store Manager Paddy Sunderland expressed excitement about the opening and the opportunity to showcase M&S's quality offerings. The new location will create 75 jobs in the community, with roles ranging from bakery specialists to customer service positions. M&S is actively pursuing growth, aiming to have 180 full-line and 420 food halls by the end of the 2028 financial year. Customers can visit the store from 8 am to 9 pm on weekdays and 10 am to 4 pm on Sundays.
