The AIADMK (All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam), the principal opposition party in Tamil Nadu, has firmly opposed any changes to the state's Lok Sabha representation, which currently stands at 7.2%. National spokesperson Kovai Sathyan voiced this stance during an all-party meeting convened by the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) regarding delimitation. Sathyan criticized the DMK for allegedly concealing crucial information, specifically regarding a suggestion that if the total number of MPs were increased to 850, Tamil Nadu would be entitled to 61 MPs. He took to social media platform X to express his views, stating, “If there is a book on Encyclopedia of lies, @mkstalin shall be the only author who qualifies to write the Book. #shamelessDMK.” The AIADMK's position highlights ongoing tensions between the opposition and the ruling party over representation issues.
