Sunny Deol is stepping into a new realm with his latest project, an untitled action thriller directed by A.R. Murugadoss. This film, backed by Excel Entertainment, also stars Jyotika in a significant role and marks the first collaboration between Deol and Murugadoss. According to reports, the shooting has officially commenced, indicating a fresh direction for Deol after his success with Border 2. The film is expected to showcase a different character for Deol, moving away from his recent mass entertainer roles. The actor's previous film, Border 2, set during the 1971 Indo-Pak war, featured a star-studded cast and highlighted real-life military heroism. Deol's busy schedule includes upcoming releases such as Gabru on May 8, where he portrays a humanitarian, and his OTT debut with Ikka, alongside Akshaye Khanna. Other projects in the pipeline include Soorya, an adaptation of the Malayalam thriller Joseph, and the mythological epic Ramayana.
