On the Delhi University campus, safety concerns resurfaced after Aryan Maan, the president of the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU), and several members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) allegedly forced their way into Gargi College, an all-women's institution. This incident occurred in the context of student council elections, where a candidate claimed the voting process was unfair. When Maan and his associates were denied entry due to regulations on male visitors, they reportedly entered forcefully, claiming to support the candidate. This led to protests from students who accused the ABVP of intimidation. A fourth-year student emphasized that Gargi College operates independently of DUSU politics and criticized the aggressive behavior of Maan and his group. In response, ABVP's Delhi state secretary, Sarthak Sharma, stated that their entry was a reaction to a protest initiated by a candidate who felt marginalized. Police were present to maintain order and reported that the election process concluded peacefully without any complaints.
